Ingredients

  • 320 g linguine

  • 200 g tuna fillet

  • 150 g canned tomatoes (can use fresh tomatoes)

  • 50 g olives

  • 2 tbsp capers

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • pinch of salt

  • dash of pepper

Directions

  • Start by bringing a pot of water to boil for the pasta.
  • Rinse the capers under some water. Drain the tuna from the oil.
  • Pour the olive oil in a pan and fry the garlic in it. Add the canned tomatoes. Let them cook and mix from time to time.
  • Add the olives, capers and the drained tuna to the tomatoes*. Add in the oregano, salt and pepper.
  • When the water is boiling, add a large pinch of coarse salt, then add the pasta. Once the pasta is cooked al dente, drain the pasta and mix it in to the sauce. Plate and serve.

Notes

  • For a burst of flavour add a knob of butter or a drizzle of olive oil in when mixing in the pasta with the sauce. Make sure to incorporate it homogeneously in with the pasta.
  • *If you prefer you can choose to chop the olives and capers.
